A Forbidden Truth: Part III
One night changed it all. We spent the entire night together. The pilot and I drove the night crazy. The wines and the cognacs propelled the burning sensation within us. The following morning when we woke up, we just stared at each other, not knowing what to say. We were in a state of utter confusion.
I can fairly remember that I covered my face with pillow and banged my head on the bed as if regretting on what had happened. But what he did was very comforting. He extended his hand and patted my head and said, “Don’t worry. I’ll take care of you.” I just turned my head to him and smiled. He hugged me very tightly. Trust me that was very comforting. He then kissed me. I wanted to resist but I was drawn deeply by the moment.
The next thing we know, we are now madly deeply in love with each other. On my last day of vacation in Singapore, we again shared a harmonious night together.
Realistically, it might be too early to tell if this is indeed love or maybe just lust. But we proved each other that it is love--- but a forbidden love. We didn’t care. We just shared what we thought and felt was beautiful.
Each night and usually never missed a night, he’d call me. It was a long distance relationship. Both of us are maintaining two long distance relationships. I have my GF back in the Philippines. He has a GF back in New York also.
Usually, he’d pay me a visit at least twice in a year in Sweden. Or sometimes we meet in a country nearby. One of our most memorable trips was in France to spend our 2nd year anniversary. It was a simple dinner that he prepared. But what made it special was the adobo that he made his mom cook and sent it via DHL to our hotel. I told him, “Hey that was stupid. You could’ve told me and did not spend thousands on that adobo. I could have cooked it myself.” But he really brags that his mom’s adobo is the world’s best. And yes, indeed, it is! Weird. Adobo and Sauvignon Blanc.
When we are together, the world seems limitless. Until one day…we were compelled to make a very difficult decision in our life.
He is not getting any younger. His family is now putting pressure on marriage issues. He is bound to marry a girl whom he has loved for over 6 years now. I know the girl. We are friends.
Now, he has to choose between two equally important things in his life. It will be difficult for the both of us but a choice has to be made…soon.
